The stone industry aims to be fossile-free as early as 2029. The Swedish Stone Industry Association’s new roadmap for a fossil-free industry challenges the national roadmap where 2045 is the ultimate goal.
– Our industry will be fossil-free by 2029. Even today, natural stone leaves marginal footprints compared to competing materials, such as concrete. When our vision is fulfilled, the difference becomes even greater, says Kai Marklin, chairman of the Swedish Stone Industry Association.
